Eyal Dassau, Ph.D.

Eyal Dassau, Ph.D., received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 1999, 2002 and 2006, respectively. His research interests are in modeling design and control of biomedical devices, inherent safe design and process and product design with an emphasis on medical and biomedical applications.

Dr. Dassau is one of the principal investigators for Artificial Pancreas Project that seeks to develop a device for automated insulin delivery for people with type 1 diabetes mellitus.  Dr. Dassau is an Associate Research Engineer, senior investigator and diabetes research manager in the Chemical Engineering Department and the Institute for Collaborative Biotechnology at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
