Anne M. Patterson, RD, MPH has been elected to the Board of Trustees of Sansum Diabetes Research Institute.

For over ten years Patterson has been the Director of the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Nutrition Program for Santa Barbara County. She is a founder of Partners for Fit Youth that addresses the growing childhood obesity epidemic. SDRI also participates in this country-wide coalition that was started in 2001.

She serves on the board of directors of the California WIC Association, chair of the regional March of Dimes Health Advisory Committee, and is also a member of the Coalition for Community Wellness.

Patterson obtained her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and a Masters degree in Public Health from University of California, Berkeley.
