Sansum Diabetes Research Institute just launched a new way for you to donate on your smartphone. It's quick and easy. Just text "diabetes" to "41444." Your donation directly helps support diabetes research, education and care.
Dr. William David Sansum M.D. was a pioneer in American diabetes research. In 1922, he was the first U.S. physician to successfully manufacture insulin and administer it to a patient right here in Santa Barbara. Dr. Sansum founded Sansum Diabetes Research Institute in 1944 to continue his quest. The work started by Dr. Sansum nearly 75 years ago continues today!
